Are the squirrels dead in It Takes Two?

I would like to ask if the squirrels died in It Takes Two.

Squirrles'  planes crashed and exploded and the Official fell off Cody and May's plane.

I fear that these squirrels may have died because they are one of my best loved animals (and I hope not).

    Well, when you consider the whole thing is being created with magic, I'd imagine not. But I'm pretty sure it's up the the viewer to decide. If you wanna think they're not dead, then you're right. If you wanna think they died, you're probably also right. There isn't a "right" or "wrong" answer to this question I don't think.
