[Bug] No point of return if bamba stone is missed

In Act 1, Activate the Waterfall quest, I went to take the first key without taking the bamba stone which allows to freeze the waterfall. Without that stone I am not able to get back on the top. I...

Yeah, same thing just happened to my husband. That's how I found the various threads with complaints. The worst thing is that they know about this: the developer replied to the first report on Steam a year ago.  I figured I'd play this game too, but if this is the attention and love it gets I figure there's better games to play.
