Can't use a Shred punch (red talent ) to break a chest shield

Hi,

here are two samples, one in lucium lordsfell dongeon, other in oremen celestial islands, only way to puzzle.

I can't  obtain any effect on the shield by striking with melee attack, nor any other one.

i checked, and with guard punch  (heal when breaking enemy's shield) plus shred punch (melee attacks breaks most of enemy's shields, doesn't work.

I have still one mission to end the game. so bad.

@laoanair If you're close to finishing the game, you should have the ward break ability already. Can you tell me the name of the mission you're on in the in-game Journal, and briefly describe the last thing that happened in the story? You can use spoiler tags
