EA App cannot find friends

Hi.

My girlfriend and I are encountering a bug(?)  on the EA app where, despite the correct privacy settings (everyone can invite and search for them + no blocked accounts + not child account) we search for each other using EA ID's, emails, steam and discord and EA fails to find our accounts. This problem seemed to have spread, as now I cannot find anyone using any search feature.

We both play on PC, and are trying to connect to play It Takes Two.
She cannot find the friend pass for the game on EA either- I don't know why.

Any help getting this app to function properly would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hey Everyone, 

    Thanks for letting us know what you are running into with the EA App. 

    Currently, we have a dedicated thread: EA App - Can't find a friend

    I would recommend checking it out and if you continue running into issues please provide the requested information in that thread. 

    To help keep the boards cleaner and keep information in one location I will be locking this thread.

    Hi @NeroApex69 and @Ahrisua, 

    Direct invites can only be sent between EA App friends. Try these steps to find them on the EA app if they have an EA account:

    1. Launch the EA app.
    2. Hover over your avatar in the top right corner to pull up your Friend List.
    3. Click Add friend  
    4. Find or import your friends for your Friend List
      1. Click Find friends to search for people using their display name, EA ID, real name, or email address
      2. Click Import friends to add your friends from Steam, Xbox, or PlayStation. If your social and gaming accounts aren’t already connected to your EA Account, you can link them here. It'd be no harm to make sure you're friends on Steam/Xbox/PlayStation, etc too, depending on where you're importing the friends list from.  
    5. A list will come up. Find your friend and click Add.

    If so please let us know the following:

    PSN ID/Xbox GT:

    Region:

    Are you getting an error message?

    Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?

    Is anything else happening?

    Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue:

    If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...

    If on PC, please share a DxDiag (Allows us to get PC Spec's, Check for errors/crashes, and look at drivers)

     

    We'll be forwarding it to the teams here to aide them and when we find out more information we'll update this post.
