Endless crash at the same spot

I was enjoying the game until I fell into an endless loop of crashing that I was able to replicate. It was after the Akikure Canyon mission where you hunt the Sporetail monster. Then you're on a mission with Ujishige and run into the Ice Wolf from the beginning of the game. You follow it up the the top area it runs to. I get to that spot and it triggers a cutscene. The cutscene barely loads and the game just crashes. I then reload the game and it gives me an error message with the EA launcher saying there was an interruption with the latest sync and that there is no local saved files found and if i continued it would start a new save. Not sure how no local files were found as I've been saving every step of the way while playing. I reached out to EA Help on Twitter and they gave me steps to try to resolve this, I found the local save files but whatever they had me try ended up losing my save file and I had to start the game from scratch again. I was playing to catch up to where I was. Just now I got back to the same spot in the game and the same issue happened.

    No the previous save is long gone at this point. It was gone that day I talked to EA help on Twitter. They had me wipe the SYSTEMSAVEDATA folder within the Wild Hearts folder and then restart the game to have it make new files. They said don’t delete the entire Wild Hearts folder which I didn’t do. So then I started the game and it made me go through the initial setup as if I just started the game fresh and no save was found. That’s beyond the point now. I can’t get past this god forsaken “A Helping Hand” mission. Game just crashes forever. If I could’ve got a refund from Steam I would but I already put too many hours in for a game that’s busted

    Hi @xAcidSoulx Thanks for that update. 

    We had an update come out today, can you see if crashes happen at the same point?

    The other day before the update came out, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. When going back into the game I disabled the online features and cross-play option. I was able to get past the section I was stuck at. After defeating the Dreadclaw in that mission, I had to return to Minato. The game crashes at the part I need to return to Minato. I was able to go to any other mission on the map without issue. I turned on the online and cross-play options and was playing with other people online fine without any issue. As soon as I try to go back to Minato to finish out the mission, the game would get to the loading screen and I see the logo spin in the corner but as the progress bar goes halfway, the game crashes straight to desktop.

    Hi @xAcidSoulx To confirm Do you play from the EA app client or Steam?

    Also, can you verify that the game and EA App is NOT being run as an administrator? Also, can you try adjusting your UAC controls to be set to "always notify me when..." and check if you can launch Wild Hearts without getting a windows prompt?

    I launch the game through Steam and it opens the EA App in the background and does its thing. I don't get any Windows prompts when I launch the game. I checked the UAC and no prompts come up. The game still crashes to desktop everytime I try to go back to Minato.
