Extremely low quality textures

Hi all, 

I'm currently playing on max settings, 1440p ultra wide and the game looks absolutely terrible. Are these low resolution textures a bug that is being looked into or were the trailers and previous gameplay videos a lie? The graphical fidelity seems to be a drastic step down.

    I can't get my PC trial to work at all, but I played on series X and it looks worse than MHW and looks like a good 360 game or a middling last gen game. All at a choppy framerate. 

    Did nobody actually bother to test this game on any format before desciiding to release it ?

    HI @Kloistor @Deejay1300 

    I would recommend going through the following guide for PC performance issues. 

    Spoiler
    • Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
    • Guide for Troubleshooting Graphics issues (Also ensure your using any dedicate card you may have) 
    • Turn down in-game settings, Set PC power to performance, and turn of any under/overclocking software
    • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
    • Repair Games in EA App (My Collection > Select the tile Dots > Repair) OR Verify the game in your Steam library 
    • Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
    • Trying closing other Anti-Cheats and overlays that may be running
    • Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Other VC++ Link)
    • Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game

    Hi @EA_Illium 

    Unfortunately running the game isnt the issue. I have some frame drops but consistently run the game decently. My issue is that the game looks like a PS3 game even on max settings. My question is if this is a bug or these are the actual textures? The gameplay videos did NOT look this bad.

    This game really needs better shadowing and textures. It could be such a good looking game.

    Make sure upscaling is turned OFF in game and in your GPU menu (nvidia control panel in my case)
