Feedback on the game

I'm sitting at 97 hours on the game and have killed all monsters except 3 Deeply volatile monsters.

So I'm just gonna list some general feedback. Performance is naturally something that I feel need to be improved. I hope it's worked on.

1: Hammer need to be improved on basically all other combos other than the first attack+R2+Attack+R2 and then you deal the big hit. That is only normal combo you should use.

All other hammer related skills do less damage, FAR less damage that is, or are getting annoyingly hard to activate because the timing changes. That is with the Triangle(PS gamepad) attack and then using R2.  It also does less damage even if you pull it off.

There is one other combo that is superior than the normal triple extended hit. That is using a Stake karakuri on the monster and pressing attack. While it can be incredible jank it will do 80% of the damage of the final hit of the 3 hit combo. This can be spammed far more and is the reason I'm playing hammer because I get to dunk on enemies. A lot.

Basically, Hammers alternative combos need to be improved because right now they are rather useless, take far too long to activate and are much harder to pull off.

2: The Gong barrier and the String barrier are not worth the time and effort to put it up. Not only do these last a short amount of time but only one of the monsters make a super telegraphed attack. That is the Sonic spin attack. But that one is super easy to dodge. The birds charge attack is not as visible but still a dodge will do fine.

Fix suggestion: Honestly I think that these should put a big debuff on the monster instead so that it can't move around as much after it's been hit. Even after it stands up. So the Goldshard shouldn't be able to do certain attacks.

The bird shouldn't be allowed to fly during this debuff.

3: The normal Stake Karakuri needs to have it's jank fixed. It's honestly a gamble on a lot of occasions where it just bugs up.

That is, I'm taken to the monster, but I'm not bounced up so I can't do the special attack.

Sometimes I've been stuck under the monster.

It has hooked onto those Spin tops but not sure why it does that because it doesn't do anything unique and is more an annoyance.

It will hook onto the Elemental Lantern Fusion karakuri even though it has plenty of room to spare to go past it. It's as if the Elemental Lantern is a massive magnetic object.

Gets stuck in ground and can't be used.

The best way I can tell you to test this is. Pick Hammer, fight any monster of your choosing. Kill it only using the Stake karakuri and with the Spin top to stagger the boss a bit.

You'll find a lot of problems with it this way.

4: Can you tone down the monkey? Both of them.

This monkey only seems to move around in close range by using his attacks every single time. He will only move when you're a distance away and even then he might do a drop kick attack on you when he's in range.

He will also jump back so much that as a hammer user the only way I can do damage is to first stun him in some form. I can't really wait for a time when he's resting because by the looks of it, he seems to have chugged barrels worth of Espresso shots.

There is only one other monster in the game that is worse to fight than him. It's the pink fox.

But can you please make it so this monkey won't spam his attack skills? Because he just does not use the W to move to you.

Even spamming the Stake karakuri gets troublesome because he'll jump away.

5: With the amount of weapons and the low amount of materials you get, making new builds is getting real costly. Specially if you have to go through almost all monsters in order to get the right build.

Fix: Maybe the monsters could give a bit more at the end? To encourage to players to test out other weapons. The upgrade orbs materials are also in high demand. 30+ for one upgrade on my Pink Fox weapon damage and I get at most 4 per monster.

6: Climbing monsters is one of the most jank thing in the game.

Honestly, I'm relocated around the in the most chaotic manner possible. In ways I have no idea how it managed to happen. Like from left foot to the top of the tail on certain monsters.

Fix: Could you perhaps reduce the distance you can be moved when the monster does stuff?

7: I want a certain feature from Monster Hunter World. The Investigations. I want to fight a random selection of monsters that will give me extra rewards at the end.

Put it in, in some way. Because right now I have to pick from the map and they are all the same what I can tell. I have completed majority of the missions and I know new ones can pop up.

Make it so that the same monster can appear twice too in one round.

8: Improve your Tsukomo companion. I've seen this little ball miss King Tusk entirely with it's projectile attack. In fact, I think I've only seen him hit with the projectile attack ONCE in my entire time of playing the game. That is when he throws several objects at once.

He seems to aim where the monster has been 10 seconds ago too. Please make that little buddy more helpful in that regard.

His healing and attracting monster attention when you're stunned or harmed is still on point so that's fine.

9: Honestly, just remove the fall reset when you jump from too high up in the air. It adds nothing. If I can defeat massive monsters I should be able to jump from any height in the game. We're already super strong due to being able to swing hammers that weigh probably 10 times what we do.

Realism has already left the building here. Let us have fun.

10: We shouldn't have to craft the original armor in order craft the cosmetic for it. The amount of extra times you need to kill a monster if you want to make the Kemono form is just too high. In MHW you need far less materials and you craft the entire set at once. Yes they have more armors but they knew this was a better way to do it.

11: I feel that armor skills should make more of an impact. Most do not. The bonus that they give is so tiny that you can barely tell it's on.

12: Can the pink fox Ultimate attack have a longer charge period? No other enemy in the game has such short charge time for the ultimate attack. I can easily evade all the other monsters massive explosions. But the pink fox one? If I do one attack or in an attack animation I will be hit. It's so short and devastating that it has one shot me on more than a few occasions.

Why is this little fox given one of the most powerful explosive attack in the game? Feels a bit cheap.

Fix: Increase the charge time by a second or two.

Eeeh those are the things I think of because I'm not gonna suggest massive changes.

The game isn't doing so well right now and you might need to change it in various way to get other people to like it.

13: I went up against the new bird enemy. 351 is my highest damage with a Pile driver in him. This is with the Pink Fox hammer. What does this bird eat? Adamantium?

Do not like the combo moves this bird has because they do a lot of damage.
