Friend Invite button not working? EA Beta App / Xbox App / PC

i want to play with one of my friends he has friends pass but in game i can't invite him like the invite botton doesn't work also the in game overlay doen't work
any fix for it?
i have it with game pass

    @SickPoisOon Make sure the Ingame Overlay in EA Desktop is enabled and/or any hooking software is closed, like MSI Afterburner. This fixed it for me and the overlay to invite friends is showing up now.

      @Zhinaga Hi, for me the overlay does pop up when I click on invite friends but it's unresponsive. How did you figure out all the hooking softwares running? I have closed all the suspicious ones..
