It's working now. I read someone having the same issue on the Steam Discussion and the game *just* worked again for some reason so I reinstalled it and it just worked for me as well.

I did the sfc, it fixed something but even after it, the game still doesn't run. My time and date are correct and my windows and gpu driver are up up to date.
I also turned off my antivirus and MSI afterburner to be sure, still no luck.

Edit: I uninstalled the game, thanks God it was on gamepass and not a purchase. Thanks for trying to help anyway.
Yep. Experiencing the same problem. Even the Steam demo doesn't run.
I played this months ago without any issue. Already tried all the suggested fixes here and nothing worked.
Follow up. Any customer rep who may want to butt in? I know it's a dead game at this point and the devs probably stopped caring a long time ago but holding on to a sliver of hope.
