Game refuses to launch through steam.

Wild Hearts refuses to launch through steam. 

I have tried every possible solution stated on this website about this. When pressing play some EA windows pop up but then nothing happens. When I bought this game last week Thursday I was able to play for 5 hours through the Origin app (as someone on Reddit suggested), but the day after that it didn't work anymore and I have been trying to resolve it. 

Is there an idea when a possible fix for this would come out? Or would it just be faster to refund the game through steam and buy it on the EA website. Someone stated this on a thread here that simply buying it on the EA website resolved their issue. The bug is 100% related towards an issue with steam linking you towards the EA app (and before asking, yes my account is correctly linked from Steam to EA).

I'm losing patience.

    @EA_David I just tried this but I'm still getting the same results. When pressing play, the EA launcher tries the cycle of booting the game up but nothing happens. The EA app disappears, it looks like it's loading but nothing happens, then the APP shows up again and the play button on steam goes back to green.

    Had my hopes up for a moment..
    I still don't understand why this happens, tried everything. The frustrating part is that it worked last week for 1 day.

    @EA_David 

    Maybe something is conflicting but I don't know what. I have tried disabling everything and letting the game past my firewall. But nothing

    Even then, why would I need to go through all this hassle if it worked perfectly before? 

    I never have issues on my pc with games or launching through steam. It's the first time I had this + first time I bought an EA game in a while that uses this launcher. 

    If I can provide anything else to help find a solution let me know. I'm too deep now to stop trying.

    @ScrumpehJ Thanks. Just so I'm marking things correctly, is your first post referencing the step of creating a new Windows user account as in dynisa's post?.

    @EA_David Hi, yes I created a new windows administrator account and followed the given steps. Same results I had before.

    @EA_David Hello, I tried the fix with the new Windows user account. I was able to launch the game by following those instructions but instead of using the EA Play app I used the old Origin launcher. It would not work before but when I used Origin it did.
