Glitch in the chapter "The Greatest Show" - ball stuck - can’t continue

In the chapter "The Greatest Show," after we ground slam the button to release the ball, it gets stuck in place and won't roll down the tracks, effectively blocking us from continuing the game. We’ve tried restarting from the checkpoint, closing and reopening the game, and switching players. Nothing worked. Anyone have any solutions?
