Immortals of Aveum - P3 Unreal Crash Solution

After starting a new game, within 20 minutes of running through the city, before the initial attack on the city, the game will crash and bring up the Unreal Engine crash report. The game has been repaired and reinstalled and has crashed more than once/ The error report will attempt to direct me to the Epic website to report the error.

  • Platform: EA App
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro
  • OS Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621
  • Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor, 3701 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
  • Date/time issue occurred 9:26 AM CST on 08/25
  • What type of issue do you have? Crash dump
  • Summarize your bug When loading into the game, there is heavy lag and GPU delays causing the game to skip video and ultimately crashing the game with an unreal engine error
  • How often does the bug occur? Every time I load into the game
  • What happens when the bug occurs? The game will crash on the desktop with an error report
  • What is the AMD or Nvidia Model Number of your graphics card? GeForce GTX 1051 TI
  • Enter RAM memory size in GB (If applicable)16GB

    Hey all,

    Sharing an update on this from the game team. At this time the team believes the issue should be resolved for most players by deleting the P3 folder under "YourPCName\Appdata\Local\P3" then clear the EA app cache and launch Immortals of Aveum normally (NOT as an Administrator). 

    Since all game progress is also saved to the cloud you shouldn't lose any game progress.

    If you're still experiencing crashing after this, please submit an EA error report to us via the steps outlined here.

    Hey Immortals, 

    Thanks for taking the time to let us know about what you experienced with Immortals of Aveum. 

    I wanted to check with everyone in this thread if you might still be running into Unreal crashes. If so, can you confirm you are able to select the "Send and close" option in order for the team to get the crash report?

    Unfortunately in the EA App there is no possibility to disable cloud save, so we are stuck with this problem….

    Just a little update. On the Steam forums some users reported that deleting the P3 folder solved this issue. I tried it several times with no luck as the folder was restored each time i tried to launch the game and caused it to crash. I had to disable cloud saves in the general section of properties, then delete the P3 folder. This worked but unfortunately it also meant i had to start the game from the begining losing all my progress. Of the 2 users who posted that this method worked, neither reported that they needed to start the game over like i did. I can only assume that there is some sort of corruption in the P3 folder and for me at least it was saved to the cloud.

    Happened to me, too. Most of the time it kinda hardlocks my system. After a long period of trying all key variations, it finally exits and shows desktop or the p3 error message.

    Same for me. i updated the game and it worked fine for that gaming session but trying to play it several hours later and nothing but crashes and crash reports.

    Yeah same thing here and nothing I do will resove it.
