I purchased an EA play subscription today through steam in order to play it takes two with my partner. I loaded up the EA App and my partner downloaded the it takes two friend pass version to be able to play it. We both launched the game and connected to the online servers and tried to invite each other but we couldn’t receive or accept any invites. Please note that the EA overlay WAS working through our troubleshooting. When we would try to invite each other, the ingame overlay would pop up and I would get a “invite sent” confirmation message in the right corner after doing so. I spent well over an hour troubleshooting from multiple posts online including doing a clean restart of my computer, disabling other ingame overlays, and doing an app recovery for the EA app. This is extremely frustrating as there does not seem to be a solid or clear fix to this that we could find. What’s even more confusing is that I actually played it takes two with a friend about 2 years ago and it worked fine then (on the same computer). Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated
HI @IlikeCherrios to confirm have you tried all of the following steps?
- Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
- EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
- Steam - Verify in your library
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game
Thanks!

I tried all the steps listed, and I am having the same issue.
Clean Boot, ran in admin, cleared the cache, checked connection and firewall issues, checked drivers etc.
This seems to be an issue that many people are having with t he EA client, and there are reports going back several years. When is EA going to solve this?
What are we supposed to do, file a class action lawsuit for the obviously false advertizing that caused us to buy a product *specifically* listed as offering online play? What does it take to get EA to actually fix the problem instead of making *every* consumer with the same problem jump through these hoops ?
