so, any idea of how me and my friend can play with having these issues?

Hey @fiestymamawolfe
Apologies for the delay I've passed this on to the team, when your friend has a moment can they try the following and check if the error continues?
- Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
 - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
 - Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
 - Delete the "License" folder.
 - Test once more.

They did that and went ahead and uninstalled it. They went to reinstall it and got a whole different error. But she was able to accept my game invite through Steam.
