It takes two - other player has left the session

I have origin game and my friend player pass. Everything was alright then we played year ago but now we tried do play again and my friend have error “other player has left the session” when join game...

hi can you help me with this problem. so me and my partner are playing it takes two and it always gets stuck on the pirates ahoy part. on my screen it says "the other player has left the session" and on my partner's screen it says "unable to connect". how do i fix this game? we bought it and we play it on our laptop.
