It Takes Two crashing and lost save data PC

Consistent crashing and loss of save data on It Takes Two. I have a strong PC and can run high performance games. The game crashes periodically while playing via friends pass. My PC is crashing as the host, and my console runs better than my partner who uses the pass. I've set the game to full screen, set all graphics to low, and restarted the application and my PC many times. Now I've lost 9 hours of progress and have no way to recover save data. Please help.

    Hi @phabiib

How long are you playing until you typically see a crash?

Also, if you have not can we try the following?

    Thanks!

I've updated drivers for every device in my PC, graphics card, and as every device connected to it. Monitor, mouse, speaker, etc. I've verified game files through Steam.

The only apps running while I play the game are EA, Steam, and Discord. I've ensured Discord overlay and Steam overlay are off. Consistently the game crashes on the first level upon ground pounding a button to reverse the vacuum suction for the first time.

However, after relaunching 1-3 times I'm able to get past it. The next consistent and most critical crash occurs while facing the Octopus boss. I lost all save data for the game upon fighting the octopus boss. I restarted the game, got past the first mission crash, and did not crash again until the octopus- where, again, all game data was erased following the crash. My wife and I have been loving the game so far and it has been very disheartening to lose all progress twice now.

13 hours of gameplay simply doesn't exist anymore. I appreciate the potential solutions offered, but none of them solve the issue.
