Hi @ness568 ,
Here is a step that helped other players wih the same issue: change the date and time of your console to "Synchronise via Internet", then clear your console's cache and restart it:
- Open System Settings on the HOME Menu
- Then select System ⇒ Formatting Options ⇒ Clear Cache.
- Select the user you'd like to clear the cache for, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Let us know how that works out!
I wanted to report that as of May 23, 2025 I am getting the exact same error with no discernible way of fixing the issue. Will It Takes Two be updated for Nintendo Switch 2 to support gameshare so connecting between two players on the Nintendo Switch version of the game is less dependent on EA's connectivity pipeline? I am unsure what is causing this error now considering how the virtual game card system is probably another chaotic factor. I would prefer a solution to this issue that avoids not being allowed to play the game (and if I were to try to get another EA game like Split Fiction) on Switch or Switch 2 until November because the only thing that has not even guaranteed to work but has worked for some is unlinking your Nintendo account and being locked out of having the accounts relink for half a year either requiring a creation of a burner Nintendo or EA account which I would rather not do.
I deeply apologize in saying this but neglecting this issue would be throwing away money from what would be a really strong install base of players on Nintendo platforms experiencing this issue now or will experience it with Split Fiction.
