Here is a step that helped other players wih the same issue: change the date and time of your console to "Synchronise via Internet", then clear your console's cache and restart it:
- Open System Settings on the HOME Menu
- Then select System ⇒ Formatting Options ⇒ Clear Cache.
- Select the user you'd like to clear the cache for, then follow the on-screen instructions.

I have no idea why EA hasnt published this solution but
1. clear your cache in system then
2. unlink your EA account (via mobile/pc internet) from your switch then
3.relink via the online tab on switch in the game.
I had this issue for months then I got the switch 2 and had to relink the EA account
I really hopes this helps someone
