Lagging and low frames on It Takes Two

So me and my friend wanted to play It Takes Two. I bought it on Steam and she downloaded the friends pass version. For me it works perfectly fine and I have no problems. However for her it is very laggy, both in-game and in the menu. We tried to lower all of her graphic settings but it didn't change anything. We tried googling but found very little information about the problem and we tried everything we found but the problem persists. She has a 2060 and her processor should be fine as well. I would be very grateful if anyone has had this problem and knows how to fix it.
