Mac running Parallels and installed on external hard drive
My girlfriend has a Mac and I have a PC and we can not figure out how to play together.
She runs Parallels with an external hard drive for storage and has downloaded both Steam, Origin, and the game itself onto that external drive.
However - when I invite her to the game via Origin - and she clicks join - the game asks to be re-installed or can not find the game on the drive.
Can we simply not play together?

You will be able to play, it's just an issue with the external drive.
Open Origin then go top left and click Origin>Application settings>installs and saves and then set your game location to the location you want on the external drive, then install the game.
Give that a try.
