My honest feedback about Split Fiction...
I'm an absolute lover of It Takes Two and A Way Out. I have played them multiple times with multiple people, and I think they're two of the best games ever published by EA. When I heard about a new Hazelight game in development, I knew Fares wouldn't fail.
It's so uncommon, in 2025, to be hyped for a game. It's so uncommon to start a game that runs flawlessly, without day one patches and wasting time tweaking graphic settings. It's so uncommon to receive a finished, complete game, with no extra content, preorder bonus, season pass and all this crap.
Hazelight knows their quality standards, and they didn't miss. AGAIN.
The game runs smooth in 2K native (NO FSR) with everything to ultra on my 3600x + 6700XT (maybe some zones where's a lot of grass will drop fps), played for nearly 3 hours straight and NO BUGS AT ALL were found.
It's localized in italian (for the first time ever for Hazelight) and I can safely say they did a great job, it keeps some of the best mechanics from It Takes Two and the classic "chill" moments where you just disconnect from the challenge and enjoy the moment with your partner.
And, of course, the "f**k the oscars" easter egg. LOVE IT.
The ONLY improvement I would suggest is enabling Y Axis configuration for flying, since my partner is very bad at inverse Y Axis.
I can safely say this game deserves a GOTY, just to prove the industry what it takes to make a wonderful game.
Thank you Fares, thank you Hazelight, thank you everybody, for delivering us another masterpiece. Thank you for making me play a game with the happiness I grew up with and made me passionate about videogames.
