you two are clearly shills.
this isnt even a game is a poor digital movie.
funny how praise is allowed here but criticism is not.
you are scammers EA.
@holger1405 Game score scales are out of whack because some people think the rating scale goes from 7 to 10. Nintendo fanboys were furious when Gamespot gave Twilight Princess only an 8.8/10. (More info) A Way Out is sitting at 8/10 on consoles right now (with solid user reviews). I haven't seen @ValkyrieCry's video yet (I'm not at my PC at the moment), so maybe I need that context to get what the "heavy criticism" is referring to. 🙂

I have been - and continue to be - very open about my criticism of certain EA games (Mass Effect Andromeda and Battlefront 2 in particular) and I have retained moderator privileges. Criticism is definitely allowed on this forum. In fact, I believe it's appreciated.

Yes, it tends to be extremist in both directions.
And then they are the "hobby" critics @ValkyrieCry (presumably) speaks about.
I will never understand this obsession with ratings and/or criticism. If I like a game it diden't bothers me if and how many others don't like it.
It's always subjective. "De gustibus non est disputandum" 😉- Fred_vdp8 years agoHero+
I have now seen the video. It seems like the "heavy criticism" is referring to two particular reviews rather than the overall reception (which is quite good). That makes a bit more sense.
As for the low number of couch co-op games, I think there have been quite a few popular ones in the past couple of years. From the top of my head:
- Divinity: Original Sin 2 (Highly recommended)
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Cuphead (Mentioned in the video)
- Overcooked (Highly recommended)
- Kirby Star Allies
- Snipperclips
- Human: Fall Flat
It's true that they're getting a bit more scarce, but Nintendo and various indie developers are still making them. Definitely keep an eye on Steam's local multiplayer category: http://store.steampowered.com/tags/en/Local+Multiplayer
