prepare for amaterasu's return Unable to proceed quest

So I think atleast for me because I am on PC it glitched out  allowing my story to progress while playing cross-platform with a buddy of mine. Which lead to my current situation 🤔 so it's a programing issue because soon after I started playing with him again it advanced the story arc and allowed me to continue my story but only while playing with him. Soon after I left his part it reverted back to being stuck on that mission.

A workaround for this:

Join an open lobby with a quest close to this one, the one I found was

We kept going with the host and it got me past this point in story!

Same thing happened to me, just now. 

I'm on Xbox  Series X, stuck on this mission, the start of Chapter 3, post hunting the Mighty King Tusk & Amaterasu destroying Minato. 

I can't progress the main story, even though I've done the Mighty Kemono hunt several times via solo/multiplayer., there's just no essence dropped. I killed all of the Mighty Kemono on the 1st island, I even killed the 2⭐ Mighty Kemono that appeared as❔on the Spirit Isle. Hopefully there's a fix soon.

Hey, everyone it’s confusing thought it was a big to. Just click on any of the hunts flashing red can’t farm same ones has to be different. It’s not in free roam hunts gotta actually select them
