PS5 missing save file

Hello. I was enjoying this game but the most frustrating thing happened. It either didnt save my progress at all or it completely lost about an hour worth of progress. I was on the part of the mission in exile before you enter the library. I beat that. Went into the next chapter. Got to the part where you enter the underground. I exited to the main menu. The next day I load up the most recent save and realized it had me back at the library portion of exile. I went into my cloud and tried that but nothing. I've never encountered this with any game on PS5 ever. Maybe someone can explain this very odd occurrence

    Hi @XKingTechX 

    Thanks for the update, With Immortals being a single player game we won't have a way to restore progress. 

    Could we try Entering Safe Mode and Rebuild your PS database and checking if this is repeatable?

    Hi @XKingTechX Do you remember if you saw an error message, or if the console was shut down in an unusual way?

    No error msgs or weird shutdown issues. I played for about an hour that night. I even got the trophy for completing the mission exile. I got to the next big sequence where you go into the mines basically. I got off the elevator. I exited to the main menu. I quit the game on the PS% home screen. Then shut my console down. Nothing seemed weird when I booted my system up next day. Well except noticing my game lost that much progress
