Re: Best weapon to stun
I am not far in the game yet but it seems to me that the best way to stun a kemono is to use certain karakuri.
Using those karakuri when conditions are met will stun the kemono (e.g.: using while the kemono is flying or doing a certain attack)

Like using the Wall when the big piggy is doing its charge attack.
Or the Firework karakuri while the raven kemono is flying.
Or the Firework karakuri while the raven kemono is flying.
