Found a solution! I tried everythig... even messed around with port forwarding on my router.
I discovered that with both machines running a vpn (pia in this case) they were able to connect.
I spent several hours trying to solve this. It is the only program/game I've ever hand problems with!
Anyway hope this helps some people (including the development team!!!) in figuring it out!
