@EA_David I just tried this but I'm still getting the same results. When pressing play, the EA launcher tries the cycle of booting the game up but nothing happens. The EA app disappears, it looks like it's loading but nothing happens, then the APP shows up again and the play button on steam goes back to green.
Had my hopes up for a moment..
I still don't understand why this happens, tried everything. The frustrating part is that it worked last week for 1 day.

Maybe something is conflicting but I don't know what. I have tried disabling everything and letting the game past my firewall. But nothing
Even then, why would I need to go through all this hassle if it worked perfectly before?
I never have issues on my pc with games or launching through steam. It's the first time I had this + first time I bought an EA game in a while that uses this launcher.
If I can provide anything else to help find a solution let me know. I'm too deep now to stop trying.
