Re: Game stuck on Finalizing installation.

This did not work for me everytime i hit stop on the background services the app just crashed 

Hi all, I have been struggling with the installation of Immortals of Aveum from EA Play a week or so already.
Tried clear Mstore cache, clear EA Play cache, stop process, repair, etc etc.

I finally found a solution for myself and hope it will help those that are still struggling to get it installed.
You are likely stuck at "Wrapping Up" or "Finalizing" like me.

Inside the installation folder, EA Games\Immortals of Aveum\__Installer\ you can see a Installlog.txt

In here, I found this error regarding the installation of donet35sp1.

22:45:00 Started DotNet runtime install phase for: dotnet35sp1
22:45:00 Launching process:
Command: "E:\EA Games\Immortals of Aveum\__Installer\dotnet\dotnet35sp1\redist\dotnetfx35.exe" /q /norestart
Working directory: E:\EA Games\Immortals of Aveum\__Installer\dotnet\dotnet35sp1\redist\
22:45:00 Process exited with exit code 1603.
22:45:00 Error installing DotNet runtime.

So I closed EA Play, stop the EA Background.

And ran the installation manually from the dotnet folder found.
Completed this installation, open EA Play and tried installation again.

This time, it completed the installation !

So the solution? Manually install the dotnet35sp1.

I am running Win11 just in case for comparison.

Just sharing in hope it fixes yours.

I had this same problem installing ME3, it was stuck on preparing after the download was finished. Stopping the background service instead of ending its task allowed me to finally reach "installing" after 2 days of struggling, thanx for the help buddy!
