Stretched screen - Can’t change in game settings (PC)

So yesterday I installed A Way Out on my PC. I entered the game and everything was working fine (no lag, normal screen res, etc)

Today I invited my friend to play with me and the game stretched the screen as soon as I entered, because of that my mouse couldn’t click anything unless I pretened the game was at it’s original res and clicked nothing to open video settings. I thought that would be the fix but it’s impossible for me to hit the apply settings button.

for context I didn’t do anything with my PC, didn’t install anything, didn’t change any settings, etc. Yesterday I simply tested the game and exited out to sleep.
