Tree elevator not working...cannot advance
My daughters have been playing the game on PC, but there seems to be a bug that is stopping them from advancing. Immediately after the Plunger Dunger game there is an elevator they jump on that is supposed to take them up to a boss fight (a beetle?). But when they land on the elevator, nothing happens.
At first we thought it was a puzzle, so they tried shooting sap at the ropes, gears, in the cans, blowing things up, etc. But after a very frustrating half hour nothing happened, so I finally caved and we watched some play-through videos. We were surprised in the videos to see the elevator just automatically rise when they landed on it.
We've tried a few things, such as restarting the computer, having both play on the same PC, instead of online like they usually do, and switching characters, but it did not make a difference. I even looked up cheat codes to skip to the next chapter, but apparently there is nothing out there.
Can anybody help? If not I'll have to see how to go about returning a game on Steam...something I've never done, but I'm not spending $42 for a broken game.
Thanks for any help! My daughters don't usually play video games, but they were LOVING this game, and now they are so disappointed.
