I have the same problem, on my Windows 11 I no longer know what to do to solve the error 401-6e
This sucks. My friend and I were one play session away from beating the game and now I don't think we ever will be able to...
I am having some trouble with It Takes Two, any time I try to start an online session i am met with loading, then authenticating then an error ( result code 401-6e ) and that I cannot connect to the EA servers, for some context at this point I have exhausted just about every option i can think of I have in total.
Clean booted my system
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
installed the EA app in order to launch it from there instead
updated any and all drivers that could conceivably have an impact on it
updated my DNS information
verified the integrity of my steam files
restarted my router and PC several times
prayed to several eldritch gods in order to take pity on my mortal soul
disabled any antivirus software and made sure that any files associated with it takes two or steam are exempt from any scanning
removing the license folder from EA program data using WIN+R
checked my ban or suspended status for EA
I really am out of any and all earthly ideas on what in gods name could possibly fix this issue.
