Unable to start online game

Myself and my husband were playing this online despite being in the same room as I think local has to be on the same machine. But we've come back to play it this afternoon and neither of us seem able to appear online properly and because it says he's offline it won't let me invite him to play? Anyone know what's happening?

    Which game were you having trouble with here?

    If this was regarding A Way Out or It Takes Two, we're currently investigating some issues connecting to those particular titles.

    Yes its 'It Takes Two', but its not just in game even in the EA App I can't see the other person online even though they are, if we try and set manually as online it errors out after awhile.
