@EricConQueso Thanks for the video, that is odd. I'd like to start with some basic troubleshooting. Can you start with a full restart of your console? That involves holding the button on the front of the system until it beeps and shuts down.
If this has no effect on the issue the next thing I'd try would be to reinstall the game content. Your progress would be tied to your account, so you won't need to start from scratch.
I tried both, the hard reset and uninstall/install. Neither worked. Anything else we can try?
Thanks,
Eric

@EricConQueso Hmm, are you wrapping it in a manner to make it an anchor point, like if you were making a trampoline between 2 spots? Looking at your video I can see that the lantern is wrapped in a different knot than in the videos where progress is made.
I can also see that the line to the start of the level goes taut as you pull, whereas in the other videos it stays slack. Perhaps you need to hook the lantern like you're going to swing off it.
I'll try to get an endgame save of the game so I can test this, I'll update the thread if/when I can.Edit: Yep, I managed to confirm this. Drag the lantern with the RT Lasso rather than attaching the yarn with X.

Cool thank you! I'll test it out over the next couple of days and let you know if I have success.

I also cannot pull the lantern. How do I remedy it. I have a PS4-400 with 3.55 software.

@geekoldlady Hey, as above I think it's just using the wrong knot.
I think on PS4 use R2 to attach to the lantern and not square.
Cheers. - 5 years ago
I was having the same issue on PS4 and tried reinstalling the game and restarting my console. Didn't help.
Turns out you must use R2 (and not square) to tie the knot, then it works as expected.
