@lWiIIBreakU Did you and your friend attempt the steps in the accepted solution?

    Why put the accepted solution as the accepted solution when it does not solve the issue? This is clearly a widespread issue, needs addressing either with a fix or refunds. Poor show EA, consumer rights here we come!

    BTW, the ‘accepted solution’ is accepted by the community managers, not the op. Stupid system, stupid company.

    @rickydg Have you actually tried the steps in the accepted solution? 

    Anyone seeing this issue is seeing as a result of an issue on their end, if you and your friend follow the troubleshooting steps it will be solved.

    I wouldn’t be commenting if I hadn’t tried the steps. The issue for me appears to be that I’m on IPv6 and my friend is in IPv4. I will not try the recommended fix of placing an older router between my Xbox and my router, as this is not a fix, more a bodge. I am not able to switch back to IPv4, as it is implemented by my ISP. EA need to pull their finger out, no other game or service I use has these issues. Furthermore, it is completely unrealistic to expect all players to use one version of IP given the stage of development in IPv6. In another 20 years when IPv4 has all but disappeared, maybe.

    Mr Darko, whatever you are paid, I would seek alternative employment. EAs motives are ill informed and money generating only, with zero consideration for their customer base and ethics.

    Good luck to everyone else with this issue. I shall be claiming a refund under consumer protection laws, and will not buy another EA product. Lesson learned.

    @rickydg If you are IPv6 and your friend on 4 then you will have issues, is it possible for him to change his settings?

    No, his ISP doesn’t support 6 yet.

    Nevertheless, you’ve missed the point completely.

    What's the status of this?  My friend and I have successfully been able to connect twice, but never again (about 10 attempts total).  We just tried again after about 2 months of not trying and its still an issue.  What's going on? No, I will not factory reset my Xbox, but I have absolutely restarted it and my Internet.  We play online in NHL and Battlefront without issue, both EA Games.  What the hell guys?

    I have.  We've restarted everything and opened ports.  Other EA games continue to work without issue, but A Way Out won't connect.  What's the deal?

    Disabling IPv6 on my router fixed the issue. My friends was using IPv4. Not sure why this would fix it but it did.
