Xbox Series X - Black Screen when launching

I have downloaded the trial but when I launch the game I get a black screen after the splash screen with the loading bar at the bottom. I can hear the 'EA Originals' voice and some background sound but the screen is totally black. Hitting the guide button works and everything else works as intended but Wild Hearts is doing this weirdness.

Have tried using internal storage and external storage card but makes no difference. Have tried changing console resolution not no avail.

Even deleted and reinstalled.

All sorted now. I did a hard shut down and cleared saves again, making sure everything including cloud was deleted and it's loaded fine.

I am an Xbox Insider on Skip Ahead btw.

Hi @RicME85 Can we try the following:

    • Quit the game and other running apps from Quick Resume (For Series X|S consoles)
    • Remove any connected device, or additional USB's from the console then restart the Xbox and check
    • Check for updates
    • Persistent Storage
      • Go to settings > Select Device & Connections > Then Blue-Ray
      • Select Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage
    • Alternate Mac:
      • Go to settings > Select General  > Then Network settings
      • Go to advanced settings > Alternate Mac address > Select clear
      • Select restart

Unfortunately still the same thing happening.

It's odd, the game is clearly there as I can hear the menu music and if I keep hitting A then it advances to loading into the game, if I move the stick it sounds the character is running around on dirt/gravel but the screen is black, almost like there is no signal being sent to TV it's that dark but bringing up the guide shows there is a signal.

  • I was having the same problem. Deleting my save (both local and cloud) and clearing reserve space fixed it. Also this time I did not change any settings.

Can you delete local info (saves rather than the actual game saves) then try again. It sounds like the game is trying to display in an invalid manner, deleting game data may help.

I deleted all the local files including the reserved space like the poster above you mentioned and still the same result.

@RicME85 Thanks for trying that, to check are you a part of the Xbox insider program for Xbox's operating system? (where you can preview features early)
