Can't buy or renew ea play

I've discovered a problem specific with ea play and ea play pro, every time I've tried renewing ea play pro in the last couple of days there has been a problem, once I'm in the app trying to renew it I get a message "Select a different payment method, or try again a little later (ref. #54001). This only happens once I try to subscribe to ea play pro and doesn't happen when I try to buy a game instead, and it doesn't even let me choose a payment method and I don't even have one linked to my account at the moment. I've also tried subscribing to ea play pro on the website but I just get this method when trying to subscribe "We had some trouble processing your request

We encountered a temporary issue with your payment provider. Select a different payment method, or try again a little later. (ref. #54001)"

My plan was to use the money that I have on my ea wallet to subscribe for this month but it doesn't even let me choose the payment method, what should I do?
