Ea play discount on Steam

So, I have bought EA play today on EA app, but I realised that I can't get the %10 sale on Steam even though I connect my EA and Steam. I have like 70 Euros on my Steam account ready to buy EA FC 24 together with the discount from EA play but I just can't. The discount is only available on the EA app. So what can I do about it? Do I need to buy another EA Play from Steam?

    @yusehin, yes, that is indeed the case. When you buy EA Play for PC EA app, it does not carry over to Steam or any other launcher/platform.
