I just bought a new MacBook Air in April 2020 and downloaded Origin so that I could play the Sims 4. I had the Sims 4 for Mac on Origin on my previous Mac computer, but hadn't played it in a long time because it stopped working years ago and I never really tried to fix it.
So I have the Sims 4 in my Origin Library, but it is grayed out. When I click on it in my library to play it, the game page tells me that it's available for Windows only, and gives me an option to "Buy game for Mac" (see picture). When I click on "Buy game for Mac", it takes me to the Sims 4 page where I have the option to "View in Library" or "Watch the Trailer" (see other picture). No option to play the game. So when I click on "View in Library", it takes me back to the previous page where I again have the option to "Buy game for Mac". Both pages take me back to each other without the option to play the game.
How do I get out of this endless back and forth so that I can just play the game?? My computer is brand new. Downloading Origin was the very first thing I did after starting up the computer for the first time.
This is super helpful. So I just unsubscribed from Origin Access (which I guess I resubscribed to a couple months ago), but it says my Access account is still active until January 2021. If I follow the instructions on page 1 of this thread to buy the game, will I still be buying the game through Access since my account is apparently still active? In the screenshots that I've attached, I clicked on "Not interested in Upgrading today?" then was prompted with the Standard vs Deluxe versions. Will one or both or neither of these work for me? Also, why is the game suspiciously cheap??
