I think what "a membership pays for itself if you buy even one game with your 10% discount" means is that you save the price of a game by paying for a year rather than by paying the subscription monthly. (14.99 x 12 = 179.88)

Ok, and with EA Play Pro, do you actually get any game you want in full for playing as long as you're a member? Or do you still have to individually buy games like with regular EA Play?Yes, you can play all the games available with the EA Play Pro subscription (all games in the ‘Pro Playlist’) fully for as long as you are subscribed. They also add the highest editions of EA games, not Standard. You’d however lose access to the games if your subscription expires.

Generally, if you are planning to buy two games like Madden and FIFA (Std edition), or the highest edition of one of those during the year, you can get EA Play Pro for the year for a similar price (check the price for your country) and get access to those games and more for as long as you keep the subscription. And one of the advantages of EA Play Pro is that you get access to EA games a few days before they release. With EA Play (not Pro) they are generally added to the subscription to play fully as well, but some months after release, not from the start.
Then again, you mentioned you aren’t interested in anything else than those two games, and you don’t care about the extras of the higher editions and such… so you might want to pay extra attention to the price difference. For me for example is a great deal because I like to try different games.

Ok, thanks. And yes, I don't usually buy anything but the base games of FIFA, Madden, etc because I only play sports games offline and avoid ultimate team modes at all costs, however if there is access to other FULL games then that's fine and EA keeps expanding their library beyond just EA titles. But more important than all of that is that whenever FIFA or Madden go on sale during the winter, I can then just buy it to have after the membership and with an additional 10% off. And honestly, at $129, that's cheaper than what just those two games will sell for in Canada anyway on release and for most of their selling time. So I'll already be saving money. Plus, the other games (Formula 1 etc, I don't play many action games).
