EA PLAY REMOVING GAMES
This will probably be a stupid question but I don't use Origin too much but for some reason, I have EA Play. Slay the Spire went on EA Play and it was on there for months and I got it and got 17 hours worth of playtime out of it (which for me that's a lot). It went off of EA Play recently and just got removed and I can no longer play it. Do I seriously have to buy the game just to go back to playing it and to get my progress back? If I open up STP on my computer it opens Origin up and wants me to activate it.
Like what's the point in getting free games if they're just gonna get removed after a nondescript amount of time?
Hi @cheesydraws,
For clarification, when you subscribe to EA Play you get access to play the games in the PlayList (based on the platform you sub on). You don't get a code or copy of the game to keep permanently. This functions similarly to Xbox Game Pass or even something like Netflix where you can play items on the library.
If you only had access to STP via EA Play, then currently you would need to purchase a copy or own it elsewhere to play the game since it is currently not on the playlist. For more information on EA Play I would recommend checking out the links below.
