@Evilazn Normally I can see if a sub is active on the account but I do not on this one.
When you go to EA.com and log in with your EA account, do you see the Xbox account you are using linked?
Have you tried to log in on different browsers, or through the browsers on your phone or a tablet?
I've tested multiple accounts on 3 browsers and cannot get any errors.
Can you try these steps and let me know if they help?
- Close the EA app.
- Navigate to the Xbox app
- Go to settings (click your name in the top left corner)
- Select "extensions"
- Disable the extension for the EA App
- Locate the game you want to download on the Xbox app
- You'll notice that the install selection has now gone away and been replaced by an option asking you to "enable extension"
- Enable the EA app extension
- The Xbox app should then launch the EA app automatically
- Once you see the EA app open, you should now be allowed to select an SSD/HDD to install the game
Hi there!
Thanks for the advice
The different browser seemed to have worked. Not sure why but chrome gives me the error but edge seems to be ok
The page shows my membership as inactive
I tried doing all the above as well.
Still don't have the button to install.
My EA and xbox account are definitely linked so still back at square one.
Any other ideas? APpreciate the help

@Evilazn If the membership portion shows inactive, that is typically happening for only a couple of reasons:
- Wrong accounts linked
- The wrong sub was purchased
- The sub was purchased on the wrong account
If you were able to get into the act page and you are not seeing EA Play, or Game Pass on the page, the next step would be to log into Xboxlive.com and make sure the subscription for Game Pass on PC is linked and active on your Xbox account.
When you are logged into EA.com, under connections, if you see the correct Xbox account, that becomes a subscription issue. Showing inactive indicates one of the above is happening.
With the steps to get the accounts linked, when you go into the Xbox App and download any game for EA Play, it should sync the sub. This is what you should see
If not there is a desync in the EA/Xbox accounts linking. You should be able to resolve that by logging into any EA title on Xbox if you can or through the Xbox app that isn't necessarily in EA Play.
