EA Play through Xbox Game Pass on Steam

So I want to play my EA Play games on Steam but Steam is telling me that I don't have EA Play despite it being a part of my Xbox Game Pass subscription. I have my EA account linked with my Steam acc...

    @EMBesus  EA Play subscriptions are platform-specific, meaning that having a sub on one platform doesn't give you access on any other.  So your sub through XBox GamePass only works in the EA Desktop App.  If you want to use EA Play in Steam, you'll need to buy another subscription specifically in Steam.

    @puzzlezaddict this is dumb and really shouldn't be a thing, i really hope someone at EA will look into making the fact that you got EA play able to actually use that subscription on other platforms too that use it

        Sorry but i know for a fact that's not true, it just needs a way to link the accounts and then say if you got EA play on one of them then it should be activated on the other platform too, just like it's done rn for Xbox game pass and EA play
