if i were you i'd delete it and re-install it.
i too have gamepass ultimate which comes with ea play.
in gamepass search for sims clicking on the sims 4 with the get to work icon
then click the big green install button, it'll open up the EA app and immediately a download will pop-up
should say sims 4 download options at the top
*(if no download prompt appeared in EA app, no worries... minimize EA app, go back to gamepass and again click the big green install button ea app should pop up along with download box this time)
then add-ons available to download and a drop down button which if you click will show any add-ons you own (including get to work from gamepass) make sure that get to work has a check next to it along with any others you own and want added. Now at the bottom of this box there is a blue NEXT button click it and wait for it to download and install and you should be all set
