Paid for double subscription

Paid for double subscription

Back in March 2021 I paid for a year of EA play (PC). I also have Xbox Game Pass (PC). I reach out to EA Help support to get this refunded or just have it transferred to my other system. I was told neither of those option were possible and that the only thing i could do was to pay more money and upgrade to Pro subscription. How does this make any sense? The error message in EA play even says "friends don't let friends pay for something twice"

  • Hi @datashadow,

I'm afraid we aren't equipped to help with billing cases from the forums. The support team will be able to look into your Origin purchases if you reach out to them again and talk you through what options there are if there are any. You'll be able to find the specific invoices and their status's by following the steps in this EA Help article: View your EA order history and status information.

    Hi @datashadow,

I'm sorry, I'm not sure why you would be directed here. The forums is great for peer-to-peer support and for flagging potential bugs to put on our radar but it's not a substitute for support. We can't help with billing issues here. Sorry about that confusion. Feel free to link my responses in your next conversation with support.

  • Hello, I have not been able to play any games on my EA app due to the "Hold up! You're double subscribed" notification. I have clicked the link to cancel my EA subscription as I already pay for Xbox Gamepass with EA included. But even after I canceled it, the notification continues to pop up. Then I continued to try and repair the app, restarted my laptop an it still popped up. Then I uninstalled the app, resigned in and the pop up continues to block me from accessing my games.  Can someone please help.

@0f9f561e21a9eb04 did you ever find a solution to this? The app is now near totally unusable and games unplayable. If I look at the screen, let alone click anything, I get the hold up message about being double subscribed!

I am also facing this issue. I understand I am double subscribed and cancelled an existing subscription but I still get the pop up window informing me I am double subscribed. It refuses to close and blocks me from accessing my games. Please help!
