PC EA Games Still Playable After EA Play via Game Pass Expiry
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing something quite unusual and need some help understanding what’s going on.
Two months ago, my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription expired, and I don’t have an active EA Play subscription either. Despite this, I can still play Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 4 on PC. I noticed this today after the game updated. I find this strange because, as far as I know, without EA Play or Game Pass, I shouldn’t have access to these games.
Here are some details:
- I purchased Battlefield 2042 on Xbox, but I haven’t bought it on PC. I assumed that buying it on Xbox wouldn’t give me access on PC.
- I also have access to Battlefield 4 on PC, even though I never purchased it. But, I can't access any other EA Play games, so this is really confusing to me.
- I tried uninstalling both Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 4 from my PC, thinking they would be removed from my library, but I can still re-download and play them.
I’m worried about whether this situation could lead to any issues with my account, such as being banned from Battlefield 2042 or having my EA account deleted. I have other games on this account, and I want to make sure I won’t lose access to anything.
Has anyone else encountered this? Why am I still able to play these games without an active subscription? Could this lead to any penalties on my account? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
