- @puzzlezaddict this is dumb and really shouldn't be a thing, i really hope someone at EA will look into making the fact that you got EA play able to actually use that subscription on other platforms too that use it

Sorry but i know for a fact that's not true, it just needs a way to link the accounts and then say if you got EA play on one of them then it should be activated on the other platform too, just like it's done rn for Xbox game pass and EA play

When EA announced that EA Play and EA Play Pro are platform specific, the first thought racing though my mind was that EA obviously wants to discourage account sharing.
However, the comments in this thread and others clearly show confusion amongst the community regarding this matter as it isn't intuitive and to be honest the value proposition falls off rapidly when cross platform features like this are excluded. Particularly for online and live service games.
I would theorise that allowing 1 consecutive login per account would prevent major abuse of the system and pay for itself by increasing subscription/adoption rate. The other option is analogous to Xbox/PC Game pass. Differentiate EA Play from EA Play Pro by allowing Play Pro to be used cross-platform.
In a world turning to "pay once, play anywhere", This is a backwards step at a crucial point in time to gain market share and boost player adoption rate.
