Re: Fifa 21 "already running" report on EA, but game is not running

Hey @ALFANAET looking at your DxDiag and seeing a number of issues, things that may be causing the issue with FIFA but also may not but could cause more general issues.

The best thing to do right now is to go ahead and run System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files:https://support.microsoft.com/en-ie/help/929833/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-o...

Can you also create a new Windows Admin account and try the game there to see what happens?

Let us know how you get on.

  • Hi @EA_Darko, thank you for replying. I will run the SFC tool and update you. In the meantime, would you be so kind as to tell me what are these issues that you found on my DxDiag file so I can be aware?

There are a number of issues there @ALFANAET, to start with if you check the bottom you will see a number of errors. You also have issues with kernel files which can point to a account issue.

You are also running Windows 11 which EA games do not officially support.

  • Hey @EA_Darko , so I ran the SFC.exe scan and it said "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations". So, no problems were found.

I installed another game, Battlefield V, through the EA desktop app, and it also does not launch (no error code, just aborts). Games launching from Steam, XBOX Live, Origin, and Epic Games work fine. But games through the EA desktop app seem to fail. So, the issue has to do with the EA desktop app. I've done a lot to try and solve this, including creating a new Windows Admin account and launching the game from there as you suggested, but nothing worked. Now, it's to a point where I feel it necessary to just uninstall the EA desktop app and its games and just leave it at that, and use other aforementioned platforms THAT WORK FINE.

I highly appreciate your assistance. Thank you.

As I said in my post above @ALFANAET you are also running Windows 11 which EA games do not officially support.

If you are running the games on an unsupported OS then you can run into issues such as this.

I'd recommend trying your games through Origin to see if you have the same issue.

Do you have a DxDiag @Abberant007 so that I can take a look at your system?

The more info I have at hand the better I can help.

It's best to mention what steps you have taken @Abberant007.

From where are you launching the game?

  • I have an Xbox account and also EA account. At -first I launch it from the Xbox pc, then the fifa 21 dialoge box shows up after I  press the play button the game cmes to the screen for 1-3 seconds and then poof gone. Same happens when I try to run it from the EA application.

  • Hello Darko, Thanks for your communication. Can I get any solution. It isn't working now.
