Re: Game Pass + EA Play Requires Product Key?

Been running into this issue. I'm signed into my EA that's linked to my Xbox account. EA desktop app also recognized my EA play subscription. As I try to launch the game I installed from EA desktop, it asks for a product key.

Hi all,
I have had exactly same issues, after doing some digging i realised my EA play/origin email was not the same one i use for my game pass etc, so i switch the emails and boom it worked.
check you havent registered another account in the past to your game pass email though as i had lol so had to shift that to another alternate.

@mintcake1980 Does switching the emails create a new EA account? last time i tried doing this with an EA customer support person before they told me it was impossible to do on two different emails after an hr in chat.

@Loverock3t Hi, no but you need to be sure that you havent created another account with your gamepass email previously else it wont allow you to change to that email on the profile you want to use. if you have nothing like that then you should just be able to edit your email in your profile setting and then log out/back in to ea \Desktop and you should be good
