Re: Why have I been charged twice for EA Play?

I spent an hour with the online help people. The result - Charged twice, refunded once  and my account terminated by EA. So still out of pocket to the tune of NZ$40. Told that the original charge was for a cancelled account, but because no account is tagged to the payment its impossible to get a refund. Surely if no account is tagged, then it should be impossible to take a payment. Support guy said this is only the second time this has happened on his watch, and to dispute the payment with bank. I pay by Paypal, so have passed onto them, they have more presence than me.

    Hello @RealmofPresley

You can dispute a payment with Paypal and they will investigate both sides and refund you the money if you don't have the items/service you payed for or have been overcharged etc.

Nothing is guaranteed of course but Paypal is usually good with that sort of protection for the customers.
  • That's what I am hoping for. In the meantime, I have had to pay again, this time for EA Play - Exciting new features include: Change of name, same poor service.
