Update: Why can’t I stack my loyalty discount and EA Play discount?
Hi everyone,
We’ve made changes to how certain discounts can be used to buy games. Here’s what you need to know.
Which discounts are affected?
Your game loyalty discount - Some of our games with a yearly release have included certain loyalty discounts for entitling (purchasing the full game or playing via EA Play) the edition from the year before. The discount can be used to buy the latest edition of that game. For example, players who entitled F1 22 were offered a discount on pre-orders of F1 23.
Your EA Play membership discount - If you’re an EA Play member, you get a 10% discount on all EA games as part of your membership.
What’s changed?
Previously, if you were eligible for both available discounts, you would’ve been able to stack them for greater savings. Moving forward, you’ll no longer be able to combine these discounts, and will need to choose one to put towards your purchase of a qualifying game.
Are the discounts going away?
No. You may still be eligible to receive either of the discounts, but you’ll no longer be able to apply both of them towards a single purchase.
